Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigated to protective effect of naringenin and some matters [(Benzofuran-2-yl)(3-phenyl-3-methylcyclobutyl)ketoxime, (Benzofuran-2-yl)(3-methyl-3-mesitylcyclobutyl)ketone thiosemicarbazone and 1,3-bis(2-chlorobenzoyl)imidazoline-2-thione] aganist to plasma, brain and liver oxidative stress induced by H2O2. Seventyseven male Wistar albino rats were divided randomly. For this aim, H2O2, naringenin, organic matters and their combination groups were used. According to experimental results, the MDA levels in the group of H2O2 increased when compared to the control group (p<0.001). The GSH level, catalase and GSH-Px enzyme activities in the group of H2O2 decreased when compared to the control group (p<0.05). Generally, by the effect of naringenin and organic matters the MDA levels in the combination groups decreased when compared to the H2O2 group (p<0.05). Also, naringenin and organic matters the GSH levels, GSH-Px and catalase activities in the combination groups increased when compared to the H2O2 group (p<0.05). In the liver tissues samples, palmitic acid (16:0), palmitoleic acid (16:1n7), oleic acid (18:1n9), linoleic acid (18:2n6), total unsaturated fatty acid (∑USFA) and monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA), levels of H2O2 group was decreased than control group (p<0.05). By the effect of naringenin and organic matters the 18:2n6, ∑USFA, arachidonic acid (20:4n6), polyunsaturated (PUFA) levels in the combination groups increased when compared to the H2O2 group (p<0.05). According to our experimental results, using of naringenin and organic metters as a protective agent can reduce the oxidative stress according due to H2O2 in rat.
