Abstract (EN)

The pollutant criteria of BOD, TN, TP, TSS, and pH must be taken into consideration while developing, sizing, and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities (WWTPs). By using these pollution parameters, WWTP sizing, regulation and measurement during operation, the pollutant amounts of wastewater in the WWTP can be kept under control. However, it takes a lot of time and effort to measure these parameters on-site and to obtain analytical findings. As a result, pollution parameters are not available and in-situ measurement is very costly, hence the importance of this study. It makes a great contribution to facility management by using artificial intelligence models of pollution parameters. In this thesis study, the measurement results of BOD, TN, TP, TSS and pH from pollution parameters in the wastewater inlet pond and outlet pond of Samsun Province "East Advanced Biological WWTP" were taken between 2014-2018. Accordingly, comparative analyses were made using MAD, MSE, RMSE, MAPE and R2. Four independent techniques -APPDESIGNER, fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks and ANFIS- were combined. When the models were compared, the ANFIS model with the highest coefficient of determination emerged as the best model.
