Abstract (EN)

This study was planned and conducted as a descriptive study to evaluate the effects of socio-demographic characteristics, return-specific complaints and quality of life of women receiving postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy. The sample consisted of 200 women who applied to Edremit State Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Policlinic, received postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy and verbal approval. Data were collected using 'Introductory Information Form' and 'Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Scale'. Statistical analysis of the data was made using SPSS 21 package program and e-picos program. Number (N) and percent (%) values were given as descriptive statistic for categorical sociodemographic variables. For continuous sociodemographic variables, the descriptive statistic is given as mean ± standard deviation. For all comparisons, statistical significance level (p) was taken as 0.05. In the univariate risk analysis phase, Student's t-test was used to compare the mean of the two groups, ANOVA was used to compare the two-group mean. There is a statistically significant difference between the mean of the education-change group of the vasomotor points average of the subgroup of Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Scale. This difference, educational status, produced group averages (p <0.05). The physical point average of oral preparations users was higher than transvaginal users (p <0.05).
