Abstract (EN)

He owes to the very culture he was born into for inspiration for his poems. In this context, he was inspired by Shamanism, Turkish mythology, the Central Asia steppe culture, the several millennial-old history of Turks, or briefly, whatever he has torn out of the experience that has amassed since the ancient history. Accordingly, the present study focused on different themes used by the poet. Ferhad is distinguished from his peers in terms of the manner by which he mixes the current period with Shamanism, Islam and mythology. Old beliefs and history of Turks seen in his poems are some of the distinct characteristics of his poetry. With this thesis, it was found that Ferhad had a different artistic pursuit than his contemporaries. He enjoys a unique standing thanks to this artistic vision and pursuit. During this study, was determined that Ferhad was a poet who brought Turkish history, values of the Turkish nation, Western and Turkish mythology to the present through his poems. The present study has revealed that Ferhad's poetry represents light upon the past projected with today's perspective and will hopefully fill a gap in the New Turkish field. Keywords: Tradition, HüseyinFerhad, Mythology, Poetics, Shamanism
