A monographic study of Hüseyi̇n Su

Monography is a literature genre that profoundly studies the life and works of a prominent person in a scientific way. They can be about a person, a particular issue or matter. This is a monographic study of Hüseyin Su who is one of the recent modern narrators. Hüseyin Su is one of the writers producing work in Turkish narration from 1980 onwards. In his stories, focusing on human, Hüseyin Su treated subjects such as destruction brought by distancing from traditionalism, poverty, love, longing for own-childhood, institution of family, and generation conflicts without a plot. By reminding lost values, Hüseyin Su drew attention to the unrest that people experience. In addition, he, based on tradition, concentrated on issues similar to Rasim Özdenören's, Şevket Bulut's, and Mustafa Kutlu's works that emerged after 1960. He successfully merged traditional and modern narration techniques, and wrote many essays on issues such as art, literature, language, and culture that reported his views. Hüseyin Su is a versatile writer who brought up with the tenets of Journal of Literature, and then founded journal of Hece; also had been an editor of it for eight years. This study investigated Hüseyin Su's life, art and works. The present study is composed of three chapters: Life of Hüseyin Su, Sense of Art of Hüseyin Su, and Historical Development of Turkish Narration and Narration of Hüseyin Su.
