Abstract (EN)
Liquid products obtained from biomass fast pyrolysis are used as fuel, power supply and production of raw materials. In this study, fast pyrolysis of maple fruit (samara) was achieved in a fixed bed reactor. Fixed-bed fast pyrolysis experiments have been conducted on a sample of maple seeds to particularly determine the effects of pyrolysis temperature, particle size, and sweep gas flow rate on the pyrolysis product yields. Maple seeds were selected as a source of biomass. The sample was heated at a heating rate of 200 °C.min-1 to a pyrolysis temperature of 400, 500, 600 or 700 °C. Experiments was carried out with four various particle size ranges namely, 2,00 ? Dp?1,00 mm, 1,00?Dp?0,425 mm, 0,425?Dp?0,250 mm ve0,250 ?Dp?0,125 mm. The experiments were used with four sweeping gas flow rates, namely 50, 100, 200 and 400 cm3. min-1. The maximum oil yield of 50.2% was obtained at the final pyrolysis temperature of 600 ?C, particle size range of 0,250 ? Dp ? 0,125, and sweep gas flow rate of 100 cm3 min?1 (N2) in a fixed bed reactor.
