Abstract (EN)

Our thesis titled ''Ibn Khaldun's Economic Views'' consists of two main parts covering Ibn Khaldun's general views and economic views. In the first part, Ibn Khaldun's life, his scientific personality, his works and the concepts of umrân science, asabiyyah, bedouinism and hadarism, which form the basis of his general thought structure, are examined. Attention was drawn to the situations and experiences that influenced the formation of Ibn Khaldun's ideas, and attention was drawn to his economic views, which he expressed with an interdisciplinary approach, and the relationship between these views on the axis of these concepts. In the second part, within the framework of Ibn Khaldun's views in the field of economics, the necessity of economic activities for human beings, property, labor, ways of earning, sustenance, the duties of the state in commercial life, tax, development, inflation, market and market are discussed. The related economic issues were evaluated within the framework of verses and hadiths, the status of these issues in Ibn Khaldun's thought structure was touched upon and the ideas he presented were analyzed by comparing them with the views of modern economists. Taking into account the current problems, the basis of these problems is analyzed in a cause and effect relationship and the solutions offered by Ibn Khaldun are stated.
