Abstract (EN)

This study deals with the philological approaches of Ibnu'l-Cevzi in his work named Zâdu'l-mesîr fî ilmi't-tafsîr. Born in Baghdad around 510/1117, Ibnu'l-Cevzi wrote many works in the field of Arabic Language and Literature, as well as in the field of hadith, fiqh, tafsir and other Islamic sciences. Zâdu'l-mesîr fî ilmi't-tafsîr is one of the works he wrote in the field of tafsir. In his work, the author first mentioned his views on Islamic sciences such as tafsir, hadith, and fiqh, and then touched on philological analyzes. In the work, the views of the muqaddimun ulema were compiled in general. Sometimes, choices were made between opinions. Tafsir, as well as other Islamic sciences, has a very rich content in terms of recitation, phonetics, suffix and syntax. In the tafsir, different views of the Basra and Kufe syntax schools are also included. The views of these schools are presented in an impartial way. The works of Irabu'l-Qur'an were used on the interpretation of the verses. In the mean time, the connection between recitations and Arabic dialects has been comprehensively explained. Commentator, who is also a good poet, paid attention to prove with poems in his tafsir. There are also poems of his own in his work. However, the poems he used to prove generally belong to famous poets. He sometimes explained the complicated words that are difficult to understand in the poems. He enriched his own philological evaluations by mentioning the choices made by the scholars whose views he benefited from. Thus, the work has the characteristic of being a philologically rich resource that appeals to its readers in all aspects and especially in terms of its content. Key Words: Philology, suffix, syntax, Ibnu'l-Cevzi, Zadu'l- Mesir
