Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT SEARCHING OF DENITRIFICATION OF DRINKING WATERS BY RESIN SYSTEM The aim of this study is to search whether denitrification of drinking water is held and sulfate and arsenic problems in drinking water sampled from stations in Bala, Beypazarı and Sincan of Ankara province are resolved by resin system and these parameters are compatible with limit values specified in TSE TS 266 Drinking Water Standard and Regulation Concerning Water Intended for Human Consumption promulgated in the Official Gazette numbered 25730 and dated February 17, 2005. With in this scope, water samples from working areas in March 2015, July 2015, October 2015 and April 2016 were taken and their analyses were carried out. As a result of these analyses, it was observed that a considerable amount of denitrification was achieved thanks to resin system. Moreover, it was identified that sulfate and arsenic problems experienced in the stations at working areas were resolved. It was observed that nitrate, sulfate and arsenic parameters after they were exposed to resin system were compatible with TSE TS 266 Drinking Water Standard and standards specified in Regulation Concerning Water Intended for Human Consumption.
