The definition of the leadership styles of the individuals coaching in Iğdır, Ağrı, Erzurum provinces

The purpose of this study is to determine the leadership style of the football coaches. The study includes total 112 football coaches from Iğdır, Ağrı, Erzurum. In this study Leadership Scale for Sport (LSS) which was developed by Chelladurai and Saleh (1980) was used to determine the leadership style of coaches. This scale determine the leadership style of coaches consists of 5 sizes and a total of 40 questions. It is found that standard deviation, mean and mode values by using the value obtained by the scale of 5 dimensions, in the evaluation of the data obtained from the analysis of the leadership scale of sport and personal information form that apply to participate in the survey of football coaches. In this study, one-way analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) was used to determine whether significant differences among the responses to the leadership scale dimensions and personal information form including marital status, age coaches, educational level, coaching level, values of football and coaching life. As result, it has seen more democratic leadership and visionary leadership style of football coaches who participated in the research. Keywords: Leadership, Football, Coaching
