Abstract (EN)

Sultan II Abdulhamid was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire during the final years of the 20th century and into the early years of the 21st century and struck this turning mark with his foreign policy implementations. He was most successful in the foreign policy implementations during his 33 year reign. The balance policy, which was followed throughout the reign, relieved the Ottoman State a bit. The main purpose of the Sultan's foreign policy is to ensure that the Ottoman Empire lives in peace. Sultan II. Abdulhamid saw the breakdown of the Ottoman Empire and the liberation of the Islamic world in the union of the Muslims. The Sultan has tried to carry out these activities effectively in the framework of Pan-Islamism policy. In this study of Sultan II Abdulhamid, in the context of Abdulhamid's Islamic Union policy, we tried to evaluate African politics and its activities in this region. Africa, as it has been in the past, is a land where important developments are experienced today. Africa is a region where colonial incidents are experienced the most frequently in the world today. Although there are many works on the relations and politics of the ottoman state with other states, we could not find many writings about Abdulhamid's work on African policy. The reason why we consider this issue is to convey the objective of African politics, which is not well known, to the reader. We will frequently refer to the politics of the Ottoman Sultan's Pan-Islamism. Key Words: II. Abdulhamid, Africa, Panislamism, Foreign Policy, Colonialism.
