Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, basic information about two dimensional finite element method is given. The numerical solution mechanism of the Navier-Stokes equation system, which is one of the fundamental equations of fluid mechanics, was created by this method. Numerical solutions have been obtained for a two-dimensional regtangular flow region (lid-driven cavity) which have moving boundaries. Flow structures and bifurcations in the cavity were investigated. The effects of the aspect ratio, Reynolds number and speed ratios of moving lids on flow structures are presented.
