Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Hydrogeological Properties Of Ihcaköy Hot Water Springs In this investigation Hıcaköy (İkizdere-Rize) hot water springs have been studied from the point of the geology, hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, recharge, discharge and origin. The study area covers 20 km2 in Tortum G45-a3 section of a map. In the study area the oldest rocks are Late Cretaceous İkizdere Granitoid. This granitoid composed of granite, K-feldspar granite, monzogranite, sienogranite. İkizdere Granitoid is cross cut by dolerit dykes. Granitoid is overlain by talus and alluvial material. In the study area the youngest unit is travertine. There is a number of faults directed NE-SW, NW-SE and E-W, from which NW-SE and NE-SW directed faults control Ihcaköy hot water springs to came out to the surface. In 29.10.1998 nıcaköy-1 and Ihcaköy-2 hot water springs are drilled by MTA. For the Ihcaköy-1 hot water 2,5 1/sec discharge rate are obtained. The drilling depth of the spring is 40 m. For the Ihcaköy-2 hot water 6,1 1/sec discharge rate are obtained. The drilling depth of the spring is 266 m. Hot waters are analyzed by MTA. According to the analyze results total dissolved ion matter for Ihcaköy-1 4012,1 mg/1 and Ihcaköy-2 4115,21 mg/1 are obtained. The temperature of the springs are 54 °C in Ihcaköy-1 and 63 °C in Ihcaköy-2.The hot water springs are classified according to the geological properties "fault springs", according to the temperature "very hot waters", according to the hardness "very hard waters", according to the dominant anion-cation pairs " Na-HCC>3 waters". Ihcaköy-1 and Ihcaköy-2 hot water springs are saturated with calcite and dolomite. At the around of the springs deposit travertine. The origin of the hot waters are meteoric. Hot water springs are classified according to geothermal energy "low enthalpy geothermal systems". For the prevent the pollution of the springs have been determinate protection regions. Key Words : Ihcaköy Hot Water Springs, Geothermal Energy. VI
