The prediction of cognitive distortion about relationships on the marital satisfaction

In this study, relation between distortion and marital satisfaction, which are related with relationship between marriage people, was searched. Study covers marriage people who live in Gaziantep. Sample was created via applying the scale based on voluntariness to marriage people who are in a private university in Gaziantep, a public hospital, a nursery school and private factory. 336 people joined the study. 170 participants are female and 166 participants are male. Evaluation devices are demographic information forms, distortion scale related with relations and marriage living scale. At the end of analyses, negative correlation is carried out between distortion and marital satisfaction. There is not any meaningful relation between age and distortion. However, positive correlation was observed between age and marital satisfaction. Distortion level of female is carried out high compared to males. Meaningful relation could not be found between marriage time, distortion and marital satisfaction. While there is a negative relation between education level and distortion but positive relation finds are carried out between education level and marital satisfaction.
