Abstract (EN)

This study aims to determine the assessment of computer-internet usage of the elementary school students. In addition, the effect of variables such as gender, age, classrooms in which students are in and whether students had computers in their home was studied.450 participants took part in tihs study. This number is formed by 6, 7 and 8 grade students from 3 primary schools in Uşak. 150 students participated from each grade.A survey of 24 items was developed by the reseacher to determine ?the assessment of computer-internet usage of the elementary school students?. Data gathered were examined using a statistics software. Frequency (f), percentage (%) calculations were carried out to describe students? personal information, comments and opinions.Considering the results of the study, it was observed that primary school second grade students are actively engage in computer and the Internet. Besides, it was discovered that students use computer and the Internet to do their homework. Moreover, students stated that they primarily use the Internet to access information.Key words: Computer, Internet, Internet Usage, Primary School
