Abstract (EN)
Performance tasks and projects, which are among the techniques used for alternative assessment and evoluation approaches, are among the most commonly used techniques within the process of education. The aim of this study is to find the opinions of 6th, 7th and 8th graders, parents and teachers on the performance tasks in science and technology classes. Within this context, the study aims is to find out the problems faced in performance tasks in the light of opinions of teachers, students and parents and to bring solutions to this problem. Thus, it is importance of administrators, institutions or organizations to be informed about this in order to help primary school science and technology classes in reaching their aims within this context. One of the descriptive research methods, the survey method has been used in the study. The working group of the study consists of 1294 students, 75 parents and 34 science and technology teachers. The data was obtained through Personal Information Survey and Survey on Opinions About Performance Tasks. The study used descriptive statistic methods such as frequency and percentage analysis and chi-square test fisher chi-square test certainly analysis to determine the differences between independent variables. As a result of this research teachers reported that students' performance tasks help to improve themselves, the information presented by the students of performing tasks that contribute to be permanent, performance tasks allows active participation of students to the lessons, performance tasks increases the higher level thinking skills and performance tasks improve students' interest in science and technology courses and student achievement. However, teachers reported that students are getting enough help from their parents in preparing their performance tasks, parents, act indifferent performance tasks given to students and performance tasks does not add anything more to students because the most of performance tasks is being done by parents. Students reported that given time is enough to prepare performance tasks, they can see the aspects where they are missing or well with notes taken from their performance tasks, performance tasks develop research and analysis skills. As well as, students reported that they know what to do when preparing performance tasks, given performance tasks are sometimes very difficult. Parents reported that children sometimes consult to them while doing performance tasks, children do not attract difficulty to take the time to other assignments and lessons when performing tasks and do not attract difficulty to write reports of performance tasks. Also, parents refers to that children do not experience fear of failure when performing tasks, children, never think that their performance tasks would be worse than friends work, children know how to do the given performance task and performance tasks increase children's self-confidence, children begin to love to do research, the granting of performance tasks increasing children's lesson notes. As well as, parents reported that the work of children's to exams is more important than performance tasks. Generally, the students, teachers and parents had positive opinions on performance tasks.
