This sampling group was randomly selected among the sports children having a sport license and attending to a primary school. In the research, Frequency and percentage distribution have been found. Besides, in the evaluation of ideas from the children who engage with sports in the school, frequency distribution (f), arithmetic mean (X), standard deviation (SS) and percentage (%) were used. SPSS 15.0 package was used for assessment of the questionnaires. In the research , It has been revealed that students (%75,7) engaging sports decides the branches of the sports which they attend on their own, parents' expectations are satisfied in a positive portion and parents' demand about guidance for a sport branch is %62,7The parents taking place in this study consist of %59,6 women and %40,4 men. In addition, age distribution in these parents is %4,5 20-29 ages, %22,9 30-34 ages, %34,7 35-39 ages, %25,4 40-44 ages and %12,4 45- 59 ages. When the parents' educational success are evaluated in the research, it has been found out that %40,7 of mothers only could graduate from primary school in their educational lives, %21,5 graduated from secondary school, %24,3 of them graduated from a high school and %13,6 of them had graduations from universities. With the help of this data, It is easily understood that most of the mother attending this research graduated from primary school. On the other hand, %24,0 of fathers attending this research graduated from primary schools, %20,6 graduated from secondary school, %31,6 of them had high school graduation degree and %23,7 graduated from universities. So, Most of the fathers taking place in this research have high school graduation degree. The level of income per month of these families is that %39,5 of them have income between 0-999 TL, %30,8 have income between 1000-1999 TL, %17,8 have a income 2000-2999 TL , %6,5 have income 3000-3999 TL an %5,4 of them have income 4000 TL or more. The rates in these amounts showed that the distributions are closer to each other in each group. So, It can be said that parents taking place in this research have bad, normal, good levels of income rates per month. As for the professional distribution of the parents, %79,1 of mothers are housewives, %6,8 are teachers and the remained mothers have different professionals. %22,6 of fathers are self-employed, %20,6 of them are civil servants and %11,6 of fathers are teachers. In the regard to the inclination and the habit of these parents towards sports, %45,8 of these parents sometimes do exercises, %38,1 of them don't do exercises and %16,1 of them do sports regularly. So, with the light of this data, it can be said that most of the parents joining this research don't have enough habits for sports. In sum, this research clearly shows that children's expectations and the parents' expectations don't fit to each other and make conflicts between them. While "enjoying" is one of the most important motivations for beginning a sports activity for children, the concept of "enjoying" doesn't have too much importance to initiate their children to any sports activity for parents.Keywords:1 - Parent2-Child3-Sports4-Expectations
