Abstract (EN)

Physical activity is a concept that has important effects on individuals at every stage of their lives, physically, mentally and socially. Physical activity is also gaining importance in schools where primary school children spend most of their time. In the research based on the importance of the contribution of physical activities to be carried out in primary schools to the physical, psychological and social development of children, it was aimed to determine the needs and desires of students in the circulation areas of Şehit Murat Yıldız Primary School (Type: 10415-T) located in the city center of Gümüşhane, which was determined as the research area, and to develop design suggestions depending on the obtained data. The method in the research was structured in four stages. In the first stage, a comprehensive literature study was conducted to establish the theoretical framework. In the second stage, a three-step field study including survey and picture studies was conducted. In the third stage, the findings were presented and analyzed in a three-step manner depending on the data obtained from the field study. In the fourth and final stage, all data were evaluated and design suggestions were presented with the obtained data to increase the physical activity level of students in existing or rebuilt schools.
