Conceptual framework of innovation and types: An application from TRA1 level 2

Innovation is a concept that we hear too often in a world dominated by information and communication technologies. In globalized markets competition is becoming more severe. Markets are shaped in increasing competitive environment as minimum price and maximum competition. Low-priced products which are coming from Far East negatively affect developing economies like Turkey. Innovation is suggested to those firms as a solution in order to overcome these negative effects. In this paper innovation concept has examined, a research is made on TRA1 region OIZ manufacturing industry plants. In the research, innovation types, reasons to make innovation and preventing factors are interrogated and effects of these elements on innovation was studied by survey method to determine whether they are affecting or not. The findings which have been obtained from this research showed that the vast majority of companies which have been set up as a new company and operate in food sector. Thought-provoking, the findings also revealed that these kinds of companies give a place in order to examine the consumers' complains in-house. Key Words : Innovation, Innovativeness, TRA1, Firm
