The impact of human resources applications on the emotional attachment of information workers

As a result of globalization, intense competition and rapid changes, it will not be enough to find the human resource for organizations to achieve sustainable competitive advantage, It will be necessary to focus on human resources activities such as retaining human source, motivating, ensuring efficient and happy work, subjecting employees to a fair performance appraisal system, training and development, and career planning. The investment in information workers adapting to quick changes with their features, expectations, knowledge and skill, talent will give the advantage to the business in the long run. It seems rather difficult to keep information workers with high turnover in operation and to develop loyalty behavior. It will be possible for the organizations to maintain innovative, future leading structure and create a competitive advantage by being able to keep their information workers in the organization. The main purpose of this research is to contribute to the literature by showing the effect of performance evaluation, career, education and development activities on the human resources applications for creating emotional attachment to information workers in terms of organizations. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, concepts of knowledge, information society and information workers are examined in the current literature. Especially, the identification, management, training and motivation of knowledge workers are emphasized. In the second part, emotional commitment and human resources v practices are defined and education, development, performance and career activities are emphasized considering the contribution in creating commitment in terms of information workers. In the last part of the study, information about the implementation method of HRM applications to determine the effect of information workers on emotional commitment is presented.
