Investigation of Kucuk Menderes delta's shoreline changes

In this study, the changes that occurred are presented to illustrate the interactions between natural and man made features that helped the Küçük Menderes Delta coastline develop its present characteristics. In this study, with the purpose of detecting shoreline the shoreline change of the Küçük Menderes Delta, multispectral Landsat images from the years of 1975, 1987, 1999, 2003, 2010, 2016 based on Landsat images, shoreline belonging to these years is drawn numerically and shoreline change belonging to these years in Küçük Menderes delta is provided with the help of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing method and software. Observations made during the field survey showed factors creating the changes in area that were then examined and the extent of the changes were revealed. When these changes are analyzed, it is determined that there is a progress in the Küçük Menderes Delta.
