The study is to examine the levels of organizational commitment, commitment to the profession and altruism of physical education and sports teachers who work in private schools and have been assigned to public schools by different methods. The relational screening method, which is among the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. The universe of the study, physical education and sports lesson teachers working in the city of Istanbul; The sample consists of 618 physical education and sports teachers working in various districts of Istanbul. Within the scope of the study, the personal information form prepared by the researcher, the Organizational Commitment Scale developed by Allen and Mayer in 1990 and adapted to Turkish by Güney Çetin Gürkan (2006), the Altruism Scale developed by Ersanlı and Doğru Çabuker (2015) and Lovibond and Lovibond (2015). Stress Scale developed by Akın and Çetin (2007) was developed by Turkish. IBM SPSS 25.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data obtained. In statistical analysis, Independent Sample T test and Mann Whitney U test were used in paired comparisons, ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis test in multiple comparisons, and Logistic Regression analysis was used to examine whether there was a relationship between variables. As a result of the analysis, when looking at the relationship between appointment procedures and occupational stress, it is seen that transfer between institutions and appointment has an effect on professional stress. When the analysis results of the relationship between appointment methods and levels of self-sacrifice were evaluated, it was seen that assigning millikten had an effect on self-sacrifice and altruism. It was concluded that there is no significant relationship between the methods of appointment and organizational commitment.
