Abstract (EN)

Iran, which has a historical history of about five thousand years and is also on important transit routes, has been home to many civilizations because of this location. For this reason, it has been in a strong country position in certain periods due to the accumulation of a very old state tradition. In history, Iran has encountered various incidents while trying to maintain this position. XX. by the century, there were many historical and political events in the world. These events have been seen in the Middle East as well as around the world. Thus, the most important link of these events in the Middle East is the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The Islamic Revolution of Iran was the end of the struggle fought by Khomeini and his supporters against the Pahlavi dynasty, the last dynasty of the 2500 year old Iranian monarchy. The beginning of this process of struggle is the personhood of the late Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who came to power with the abdication of his father by Britain and the USSR. Shah Mohammed, who took the throne twice, carried out a soft policy against dissidents during his first term. However, as a result of the policy of nationalization of Iranian oil started by Mosaddik on the grounds that he condoned the British operation of Iranian oil, he suffered a loss of credibility among the people. Thus, the Shah, who had to bring Mosaddik to the prime minister's office, found great support in the public opinion because of this policy, fell into second place in Iranian politics. However, the UK and US intelligence agencies attempted a coup against Mossaddik after Mossaddik's move to nationalise Iranian oil was not welcomed by the UK. After the failure of the first coup attempt, the Shah left Iran, but in the second attempt, Mossaddik was overthrown and the Iranian administration again fell into the hands of the Shah. Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who had a stricter policy in his second term, started to attract the opposition's reaction with the "Ak Revolution" reform package he had established called SAVAK, which he had tried to implement and to weave intelligence. In this process, Ayatollah Khomeini was the first person to appear on the political scene in Iran and later became the biggest opposition to the Shah. Khomeini was arrested many times for his opposition, but was soon exiled from Iran for failing to dissent and criticizing the Shah. But despite being in exile, he still spread his ideas and continued his activities in Iran. While Khomeini was in exile, events began in Iran on social and political grounds, and Khomeini, who knew this opportunity, made great efforts to get his supporters to act more organized. Thus, these demonstrations in Iran did not end, and the dissidents were united around Khomeini. After the unification of the opposition, events spread throughout Iran, and the Shah left the country again, never to return. Shortly after the shah left the country, Khomeini returned to Iran and carried out the Iranian Revolution. After the revolution took place, Khomeini finally obtained the Islamic republic referendum he held on March 30, 1979, after eliminating the opposition from the Iranian model, which he had already prepared for the idea during the revolution. At the end of this referendum, the majority of the people accepted the Islamic Republic and on 1 April 1979 the Islamic Republic of Iran was officially declared. In the study, the reflections of the Islamic Revolution in Iran to the Turkish press, which is a border neighbor and has had political activities for many years, were discussed using a qualitative research method of documents and document analysis. Thus, archival documents, newspapers of the period and the works written about the Islamic Revolution of Iran were examined and an objective study was attempted to be uncovered.
