Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of occupational health and safety on employee performance and the role of job satisfaction. Quantitative research method was used. The 55-item questionnaire was administered to 775 large-scale enterprises working in the textile sector of Gaziantep Regional Directorate of Organized Industry between May and June 2019 by face-to-face survey technique. The data obtained were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS computerized statistical package programs. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to determine the validity of the scales used in the research, Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient to determine reliability, and kurtosis and skewness values to determine the distribution normality. Structural equation modeling was used to measure the research hypotheses. The mediation effect was analyzed using SPSS Process Macro statistical program and measured by sobel test. As a result of the study, it has been found that occupational health and safety affects employee performance and job satisfaction positively and significantly, however it is found that occupational health and safety has a positive and meaningful effect on employee performance while job satisfaction has a mediating role.
