Effect of black seed supplemented feed on antioxidant parameters in crayfish (astacus leptodactylus eschscholtz, 1823) exposed to light stress

Abstract (EN)

Mature crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) were caught with pinters from Keban Dam Lake Çemişgezek and Pertek Hunting Fields. Later, the crayfish brought to the laboratory were left in the tanks for trials. The rations were formed by adding 1% and 2% of the oils obtained from the black seed plant by cold pressing and maceration methods to the pellet feeds. Crayfish kept in fully illuminated tanks in the experimental groups were fed with these feeds. The crayfish in the other three groups, which were kept in full dark, full light and normal daylight conditions, were fed only with trout pellet food without the addition of black seed meal. At the end of the experiment, antioxidant values in hepatopancreas and muscle tissues were determined. While the lowest MDA level was observed in the group that was fed with no additive number 7 for both muscle and hepatopancreas but was open, dark at night and daylight during the day, the worst result was observed in the full light group, which was fed with the completely illuminated feed without black seed solids. It was observed that feeds with additives gave positive results in terms of reducing lipid peroxidation levels, and the most effective results were obtained especially in 2% mixtures. When we look at the difference between the oils, it was seen that the values of the group fed with cold-pressed black seed oil were lower. While the highest values of SOD, GSH and GSH-Px values for both muscle and hepatopancreas were seen in the experimental group number 7, this group was followed by the groups fed black seed supplemented feeds. While the highest values were obtained in the 2nd experimental group in the CAT hepatopancreas values, the 7th group values were the highest in the CAT muscle values, as in the other results, and the experimental groups that were given 1, 2, 3, 4 and supplemented feeds followed this group. According to the results of the analysis, it was revealed that crayfish are not dark environment creatures and they also need normal photoperiod and daylight even if they hunt at night. It has been determined that black cumin oil has an important role on crayfish in eliminating oxidative stress and black cumin oil obtained by cold pressing and maceration methods has almost the same effects.
