Abstract (EN)

İskender Pala, one of our authors of the lastest epoch, knows the eastern literature very well as he was a lecturer on old Turkishliterature. Pala gives his readers information about the novel and storie by making use of the opportunities of the new Turkish literature. In order to give this information to his readers, Pala mostly uses novel as a means of communication. Noticing that the youngs focus on novels rather than the books full of information, Pala makes use of novel and storie in order for the Ottoman age's culture to be known and understood. Main purpose for preparing this dissertation is to analyseİskender Pala's novels and short stories in terms of structure and theme. We are aiming to shed light on Iskender Pala's novels and stories by this study.This dissertation consists of three parts. In the first part of the study, there is İskender Pala's life, in the second part there is information about the novels and their structure. In the part entitled "An Research Essay On İskender Pala's Novels and Short Stories", the cornerstone of the study, Pala's 7 novels and 2 short story books are analysed in terms of plot, theme, characters, time, place, narrater, perspective and language- style. In epilogue part there are generalizations we obtained from Pala's usage of structure in his narrative texts. In bibliography part, there is a list of the books referred to during the study.
