Zakat in the Islamic law and associations and foundations in the context of zakat spending place

Islam ensured social justice through the worship of zakat; he built a bridge between rich and poor. Although poverty is the basis of zakat worship in Islam, the places where zakat is spent are not limited to the poor and the poor. The purpose of zakat worship is not only to meet the needs is the poor and take care of them. Since the period when zakat worship was made obligatory, it has also aimed to carry out many services for which the social state understanding is responsible. Zakat worship; prophet Muhammad constituent the most important source of income and services of the state during the periods of the four great caliphs. Zakat gained an institutional character during the time of our Prophet and became an istitution run by the state, establishing social justice in society and providing puplic services. Today, there is a great need to use zakat worship effectively and efficiently and to reactivate it for the benefit of society. Especially in the light of recent developments in our country and the world, zakat which is the most important element of Islam's cooperation and solidarity mechanism, needs to be made functional for the society again.
