Abstract (EN)

In this study, the programs from 1924 to 2017 were examined in chronological order as Primary School Social Studies Programs and Secondary School Social Studies Programs. General Objectives of the Turkish National Education in these programs, the aims of the Social Studies course, the pre-Islamic Turkish history of the subject of the way in the program and the content of the subject were discussed in the textbooks. As the process of the research was based on a historical subject, literature screening methode, descriptive and descriptive method were used. The method of the study was determined as a case study which is one of the qualitative research models. Research 1924, 1930, 1948, 1956, 1961, 1968, 1971, 1989, 1995, 1997 elementary school programs, 1930, 1931, 1938, 1949, 1951, 1961, 1970, 1995,2005 and 2017 secondary schools and programs within the framework of these programs are taught in schools History, National History and Social Studies textbooks are examined. As a result of the research, it was seen that the history of pre-Islamic Turkish History took place in the Social Studies programs between 1924 and 2017, which included both political and cultural history. It is concluded that the content of the course is gradually narrowing in the period from 1924 to 2017 and the subjects are included in the programs and textbooks in a more general way.
