Abstract (EN)

The key objective of this study is to present a juxtaposition of the proprietor and non-proprietor managers' life and work values. In this context, a survey has been administered on 253 managers from various companies located in Aksaray. Life values refer to the values individuals adopt in their daily lives. In this study, life values are discussed over ten dimensions. These dimensions encompass power, achievement, hedonism, stimulation, self-direction, universalism, benevolence, tradition, conformity and security. On the other hand, the work values, contrasting with life values, deal with working environment and determine the significance of work among other facets of life. In this research, work values are discussed over two dimensions. While worldly and normative values constitute the first dimension, individualistic values constitute the second. The results have exhibited that a significant correlation exists between life values and work values. It has also been found that life values have an impact over work values. The variation found between proprietor managers and non-proprietor managers in terms of some values including hedonism, conformity, universalism, benevolence, security and worldly and normative values is another significant result of this research. Keywords 1. Values 2. Life Values 3. Work Values
