Abstract (EN)
The aim of this work is to design a complete PMR (Professional Mobile Ra-dio) network based on CDMA 450 in Istanbul metropolitan region. Coverageand capacity analysis are performed by the developed simulation software tool.Trade oï¬ between several system parameters such as quality of service, user mo-bility, traï¬c distribution, data rate and bandwidth are considered to optimizethe capacity and coverage of the network. Since, managing system interferenceby precise power control is a very critical concept for CDMA; forward and re-verse link interference analysis, and their eï¬ects are also studied. Coverage andhandoï¬ areas are shown on the map by the aid of GIS (Geographical InformationSystems) tool. System capacity and coverage are presented as the main resultsof the proposed network.Keywords: CDMA 450, Cell Design, Network Optimization, PMR.iii
