The geographic sizes of the rapid spatial variation İstanbul Sultanbeyli

Sultanbeyli is province in Istanbul, Catalca- Kocaeli of Marmara Region. It is also an old settlement that acts as an old gate to Istanbul. Unguided urbanization has been seen in Sultanbeyli in which geographical area is full of concrete jungle and misusage of terrains. Sultanbeyli is a settlement where rapid Population growth has been seen under the influence of movement of migration especially after the building of TEM freeway. In Sultanbeyli, there are some issues because of rapid population growth. Generally, Sultanbeyli founded on law land is one of the settlements influenced mostly by rapid population growth due to the migration from the country to town. "Rapid Spatial Changing's Geographical Dimensions in İstanbul-Sultanbeyli" has aimed to research spatial evaluation of Sultanbeyli and its changing's geographical dimensions from past to present. Sultanbeyli Municipality's activitiy reports, sources about urban development (books, articles, papers, thesis etc. ), according to Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), the aerial photo that belongs to 1970 and satellite imagings (belong to 1982, 2006, 2015 years) have been used in this research. Different kinds of maps've been produced with the program of GIS and some informations have been reached by making field observations.
