Abstract (EN)

Literature world is always aware of the need of works on which researches can be done. One of the ways to meet this need is to translate works written in Ottoman Turkish before Alphabet Revolution.There are still many authors whose works haven't been translated in our literature world. One of them is Ahmet Midhat Efendi. Ahmet Midhat had an important place in our literature world thanks to his numerous works.In this work, the work Ahmet Midhat Efendi called İstibşar written in Ottoman Turkish has been translated into Latin alphabet. Our work has consisted of the parts of Introduction, Life and Literary Identity of Author, Summary of Work, Written Translation Text, Conclusion, Index and Facsimile. In Introduction part the need of translating works written in Ottoman Turkish into Latin alphabet which has been the base of our work has been mentioned. In the second part information about the life and literary identity of author has been given. After information about the content of work has been given in the part of Summary of Work, the text with transcription of the work has been given in the Written Translation Text. In Index part, an index consisting of proper nouns and names of the works has been given. Keywords: Ahmet Midhat, İstibşar, Ottoman Turkish, Alphabet Revolution
