Özet (EN)

Addition to Turkey's position as one of the rapidly aging countries, feminization of this context has a dynamic relation with several sociological valuables. Women who have been affected and changed by during their time of patriarchal family life and marriage can also experience gender inequality and feeling of being inspected. The basis of this research is separation from spouse or loss of them as a source of these effects and changings, how this situation is perceived or experienced. As the research method, content analysis of literature with an existentialist feminist perspective and interviews with 150 women who are older than 60 in İzmir, on June have been chosen. As a result, it can be emphasized the process of re-emergence of self after separation with spouse or loss of the spouse duration of marriage has a negative correlation with physical condition and independence areas.
