Abstract (EN)

This study aims to determine the cohesion perception levels and intolerance to uncertainty levels of athletes in the Women's Handball Super League teams. 162 athletes actively involved in the 2024-2025 Women's Handball Super League teams participated in the study. Screening method was used in this research. 3 different data collection tools were used to collect data via Google Forms. In the first one; "Personal Personal Information" was developed by the researcher to determine the variables of the demographic characteristics (age, marital status, education level, income level, national athlete status, being in the menstrual phase, serious injury during and before the sports year) of the athletes in the Women's Handball Super League teams. Information Form" was used. In the second; In order to determine the group cohesion levels of athletes, the "Group Fatigue Inventory" developed by Carron et al. (1998) and adapted into Turkish by Öcel (2002) was used. In the third one, the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale", developed by Freeston, Rheaume, Letarte, Dugas and Ladouceur (1994) and adapted into Turkish by Sarı and Dağ (2009), was used. Since the skewness and kurtosis values of the data showed normal distribution, parametric tests (t test, ANOVA test and Pearson Correlation test) were applied. As a result of the research analysis, it was found that the group cohesion levels of the athletes in the Women's Handball Super League teams showed significant differences in terms of demographic variables such as income level, age and sports year; It was determined that age and marital status variables created a significant difference in the level of intolerance of uncertainty. No significant difference was detected between the athletes' group cohesion levels and intolerance of uncertainty levels. As a result, variables such as age, income level and sports years have an impact on group cohesion in female handball players; It was determined that age and marital status variables had a significant effect in terms of intolerance to uncertainty levels.
