Abstract (EN)

Applications of Chaos in Digital Communication Systems It is well known that some chaotic systems have self synchronization property. Two similar chaotic systems will show the same behaviour, if one is driven by the other under some conditions. Chaotic systems has found a wide range of applications, especially on secret communication, due to fact that they have noise like unpredictable behaviour. In this thesis, the self synchronization property of chaotic systems has been examined in detail and some methods to use the chaotic systems in communication have been introduced. New methods and conventional methods have been simulated and analyzed to make a comparison. The work has been done using Lorenz chaotic systems, however it is applicable to all other chaotic systems. In addition, the methods have been compared using computer simulation in different noise levels. It has been found that new method outperforms the conventional methods proposed so far.Key words: Chaos. Synchronization, Shift Keying, Modulation.
