Abstract (EN)
In this study, some of cavity flow problems which are used in many areas of the industry are discussed. Two-dimensional Stokes flow in single or double lid driven rectangular and semicircular shaped cavity is cosidered. The thesis consist of four sections. In the first section, general concepts, equations and definitions which will be used in thesis, are introduced. In the second section, flow structure are analyzed in a rectangular cavity formed by a pair free surface and one or two moving lids. In the third section, flow structure and their bifurcations are analyzed in annular cavity between two concentric circle. Effects of aspects and speed ratios of moving lids on the flow structures are shown. In the fourth section, Stokes flow structures in various sections from the region between two concentric circles are investigated. Effects of cavity angle on the mechanism of eddy genesis are obtained.
