Occupational health and safety strategies in work carried out in closed and resricted area; effective analysis of the current situation and improvement suggestions

After the occupational health and safety law No 6331 became legal in our contry, leag responsibilities have increased in many business areas. When these responsibilities are examined, it is observed that the main purpose is to protect the healt and safety is to take proactive approaches. In this case, the most important factor to take proactive approaches is the adoption of safety culture by employers and employees. This study is related to studies carried out in closed and restricted areas. Closed and restricted area work involves both physical and psychological risk factors for personnel. This study aims to identify dangerous situations encountered in work carried out in closed and restricted areas and to deal with these dangerous situations effectively. Among the basic topics of occupational health and safety that should be taken into consideration when working in closed and restricted areas are ambient ventilation adequate anbient lighting and healthy communication of the emplovees in the environment. When we think about all this, we must fırst take precautions at the source, if this cannot be achieved, in the environment, and if we cannot provide this, we need to take personalized precautions. In addition, the necessary work permints must be obtained in the work environment and the requirements of the work permits must be fully met. Work must be carried out by competent people. In addition, the employer should ensure that people who will work in the environment are giyen the necessary training on the subject, and job-specific hazards should be explained to emplovees with examples.
