Online communication on sustainability used by non-profit aid organizations: Content analysis of web sites

The purpose of this study is to determine how knowledge sharing related sustainability to communicate through web-sites of non- profit organizations. The data of 72 non-profit organizations obrained from www.dernekler.gov.tr by searching organizations in İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir which operate in Turkey. Non-profit organizations which operate in more than a region are included only once in coding process. The number of total non- profit organizations which are included in coding process to analyse is 69. Non-profit organizations were investigated according to 35 different items. SPSS 23 version was used to analyse data. Results show that general features and sustainability contents of web-sites change according to organizations size. According to results, non-profit organizations which are bigger include more extensive contents in their web-sites. Most of web-sites which were investigated include visual and textual content related to sustainability. However, the results show the web-sites which do not include social media applications are inadequate about public communication.
