Abstract (EN)
In this study, which was carried out on a natural black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold.) stand in the Bolu-Mengen region, the effects of three different intensities of pre-commercial thinning applications (weak, moderate and strong) on stand growth were investigated. For this purpose, mean diameter, mean height and mean basal area variables were determined in the sample plots taken in triplicate according to the randomized blocks experimental design. According to the results of this study, which was carried out ten years after the interventions, the mean diameter growth was 8.51-11.26 cm, the mean height 4.54-5.35 m, and the mean basal area 11.86-17,75 m2/ha in the frequency care areas with different intensities. Based on these results, it has been determined that the density maintenance interventions have very significant effects on the diameter and basal area growth of the stand. In terms of mean height growth, there were not very high differences between the frequency maintenance treatments
