Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Fuel Load Determinations and Fuel Models Based on Fuel Characteristics in Black Pine Crown fuel loading were determined in a series of Black pine stands in different developmental stages. Based on the measurements and the analyses of the data, two fuel types for Black pine were desciribed. A total of saplings and 10 trees from 32 plots were destructively sampled. Measurements included total height, crown width, root collar diameter (for saplings), di.3m (for trees) and surface litter. Analyses revealed strong relationships between crown fuel loads and crown dimensions. To determine the total fuel loads for the plots sampled equation generated by the analyses were used. Field measurements and observations and the results obtained from analyses were then used two describe two fuel model for Black pine Key Words: Fuel Type, Fuel Loading, Black Pine tCVfa
