Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Seasonal and Spatial Distribution of Cyanobacterium Synechococcus Which Influences to Primary Production in Black Sea This study conducted of three stations in Bay of Sürmene during May-October 2001 to evaluate water samples taken from different depths, in terms of some physical, chemical and biological parameters and their spatial and temporal distributions. The measurements revealed that, nitrate, phosphate, silicate, and chlorophyll-a values varied between O.005-64.284 ug-at N/L, 0.045-0.566 ug-at P/L, <0.01-18.342 ug-at Si/L ve <0.02-4.710 u.g /L respectively. Phosphate, silicate and chlorophyll-a values decreased from shore towards offshore. The number of Synechococcus spp changed between l.lxlO2 and 3.3 xlO5 cell/ml.
