Abstract (EN)

The tourism sector is one of the most important sources of income in all developing countries. Our country has many resources in terms of tourism service. Tourism service efficiency has become important for the region with the opening of the Black Sea region to tourism. However, a study measuring the efficiency of the tourist services sector has not been presented in the regional sense. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate this issue with the Malmquist Total Factor Efficiency index, which allows how the Tourism Service Efficiency of the provinces in the Black Sea Region changes over time. According to this study, the average Malmquist Total Factor Efficiency of the provinces has increased by 9.6 %, and this increase is entirely due to progress in technical efficiency change values. The results of this work will provide important information to the managers in terms of giving direction to the tourism service policies and potential of the Black Sea region.
