The effect of career decision making programme on the career decision making difficulty and vocational maturity of 8th grade students

The aim of this study is to examine the impacts of "Career Decision Making Difficulties Programme" which has been developed for 8th graders in the primary level, on career decision making difficulties and level of vocational maturity of students. Students with low level of career decision making participated in the study. These students were assigned to experimental and control groups, forming 22 experimental groups, 22 control groups. The study was designed in a semi-experimental design with pre-test and post test control group. The data was analyzed by Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Tests. As data collection tools; Personal Data Form, Career Decision Making Difficulties Scale for 8th Graders and Scale for Vocational Maturity were used. When the results of the study have been evaluated, it has been observed that Career decision Making Programme prepared for 8th grade students, reduces the levels of difficulty in career decision making difficulty, while increasing the level of vocational maturity.
