Abstract (EN)

In this study it is aimed to verify mixture formation depend on the spatial distribution of the trees in mixed stands and this study was performed in Artvin-Ardanuç, Ovacık forest in which there is a mixture of scotch pines, spruces and fir. Three sample fields were chosen and in these fields diameters, types/species and coordinates of each trees were determined, and one of each representative diameter classes was measured for length. Positional distribution maps of the fields were generated in ArcGIS (a Program based on Geographical Information System), and the spatial distributions were analyzed by using Ripley's K function. The mixture formations were determined according to the spatial distributions detected in tree species. In the sample fields it was determined as horizontal mixture because these sample fields have a feature of monolayer course. In the positional distributions, while among the scotch pines and fir it was observed that they have one-stand distribution, among spruces it was observed the tendency of clustering. With these distributions it was determined that scotch pines and fir have one-stand distribution, but spruces have the tendency of clustering, for this reason, in these fields, this mixed stand has the characterization of both one-stand distribution and clustering.
