Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out with the aim of examining the relationship between the coach-athlete relationship and the psychological skills and success motivation of the athletes who ski running in the ski branch. A total of 186 athletes, 112 men and 74 women, between the ages of 12 and 32, were included in the study. In the research, the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the author by taking expert opinion, was prepared by Rocchi et al. (2017), the "Interpersonal Behaviors in Sports Scale" (SKDÖ) was developed by Smith R, Schutz R, Smoll F, and Ptacek J (1995)1 to evaluate the psychological skills of athletes (PBDA), and was developed by Willis in 1982. The Sports-Specific Achievement Motivation Scale (SÖBMÖ) developed was used. . As an integrated questionnaire was aimed by bringing together three different measurement tools, 3 different questionnaires were applied. The questionnaire forms filled by the athletes were transferred to the SPSS 26 statistical package program. Since the skewness and kurtosis values obtained in the sub-dimensions of the data were in the range of -1.5~+1.5, it was determined that the data set had a normal distribution. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentile distribution) in the analysis of the obtained data; Independent sample t-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe multiple comparison test were used to determine the differences between participants' interpersonal behaviors, success motivations and psychological characteristics, gender, age, educational status and being a national athlete, years of doing sports and frequency of training. used. The results obtained were evaluated according to the p<.05 significance level. The Pearson Correlation (r) coefficient technique was used to reveal the relationship between the participants' scale of interpersonal behavior in sports, the scale of evaluation of psychological skills in sports and the sub-dimensions of the scale of success motivation specific to sports. According to the results of the findings, a moderately positive relationship was determined between SÖBMÖ and SPBDÖ. A low-level negative correlation was found between the sub-dimensions of SÖBMÖ and SKDÖ scales. A moderately positive relationship was found between SÖBMÖ and SPBDÖ. Again, moderate positive correlations were found between the SÖBMÖ sub-dimension and SPBDÖ sub-dimensions. Finally, low and moderate negative and positive correlations were determined between the SÖBMÖ failure avoidance sub-dimension and the other scale sub-dimensions, as seen in the tables. Keywords: Sport, cross country, coach-athlete relationship, achievement motivation, psychological skills.
