Abstract (EN)

Linguistic gaps are gaps caused by the absence of a concept or word in a language in the lexical unit of the source language. Linguistic gaps are encountered in the comparison of two languages and in linguistic studies. The gaps arising from the non-lexicalization of the word that will meet a concept in the source language are called lexical gaps. It is not possible to detect all lexical spaces. For this reason, by limiting the study, +(lI) and +(sIz) suffixes in Kazakh Turkish and language gaps in words derived from nouns were examined. The semantic checks of the data that emerged during the examinations were made by considering the Turkish Dictionary. The resulting lexical gaps were evaluated as cultural gaps, gaps arising from semantic differences and structurally non-lexical gaps. In my thesis study, it was tried to determine the lexical gaps by comparing the Kazakh Turkish and Turkey Turkish dictionaries. Keywords: Turkic Turkish, Kazakh Turkish, Language gaps, Lexical gaps.
