Abstract (EN)

In this study, the factor of safety finite slopes of cohesionless soil supported by piles are numerically analyzed. In order to perform the numerical analysis, a computer program that performs three-dimensional analysis by finite element method was used. For this purpose, slopes were artificially created with different angles of cohesionless (granular) soil mediums and modelled for different relative densities (Dr). Firstly, the factor of safety these slopes were analyzed. Then, for the case of slippery slopes supported by single pile row, the effects of the parameters such as relative density, pile diameter, position of single pile row on the factor of safety were analyzed. Then, the effects of the relative density and pile cap width parameters on the factor of safety for double row piles at slippery slopes and pile row location were analyzed. As a result of the findings obtained from the numerical analyses, some conclusions for geotechnical engineering are given. For cohesionless soil slopes with same angle and relative density, the factor of safety of the slope supported by double row piles is higher than the factor of safety of single row piles with the same number of piles
