Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out in order to determine the Ruderal vegetation existing in urban areas and to evaluate its inclusion in planting designs within the scope of landscape architecture. 30 different areas in 8 different neighborhoods in Ortahisar, where is the central district of Trabzon, have been determined as a research area with observation studies throughout the city. Plant studies and other data were collected through field studies conducted in these areas throughout the year, and the diagnosis was carried out by drying in accordance with the plant technique. In the research, 83 different plant species were identified. The most common plant species are Parietaria judaica, Ficus carica subsp. carica, Sisymbrium officinale, Mercurialis annua, Conyza canadensis, Galium aperine, Malva sylvestris, while the plant species with the highest covering density were Parietaria judaica, Amaranthus chlorostachys, Sambucus ebulus, Commelina communis, Smyrnium olusatrum, Hordeum murinum. By observing the aesthetic aspects of natural ruderal compositions in the study area, it was determined that the species such as Malva sylvestris, Lamium purpureum differ from other species by phenological characters; The detection of many edible species such as Rumex crispus, Chenopodium album, Smyrnium olusatrum also created another interesting result. As a result of the findings, plant suggestion tables were created. Due to the rising value of sustainable techniques, where natural resource values are rapidly depleting, the ruderal plants existing in urban areas without any maintenance seem to be promising in terms of both profession discipline and ecological approaches.
