Abstract (EN)

This thesis focuses on "Kinetic Architecture," which can adapt to the continuously changing environment and societal structure with advancing technology. The study concentrates on how kinetic architecture emerged in the historical process, its transformation over time, and the significance of its place in the relationship between human-technology-space concepts. The study is divided into three parts. The first part is composed of the introduction, where the methodology, scope, purpose, and objectives of the thesis are specified. In the second part, the concepts of kinetic and kinetic architecture are thoroughly researched. The relationship between these two concepts is reestablished, and the historical development of kinetic architecture is narrated. In this section, classifications made by researchers working on the classification of kinetic architecture, the design purposes of existing kinetic architectural works, their effects, and the movements and technologies used are examined, leading to the development of a comprehensive classification. This classification is presented in diagram form, and some examples representing kinetic architecture are interpreted. In the third part, the classification headings revealed are used to create a kinetic architecture design experiment, and the decryption of the design process is studied.
