Abstract (EN)
The research was conducted to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Person-Centered Maternity Care Scale (CMCAS) in Turkish. The research was carried out as a descriptive and methodological type of study. The research was conducted with 130 mothers in the family health centers of a province in the southeast of Turkey between January 1, 2023 and June 15, 2023. Data were collected using the "Mothers' Introductory Information Form" and "Person-Centered Maternity Care Scale". Data were analyzed using SPSS and Lisrell program. Validity and reliability analysıs were used to evaluate the data. The KGI value of the scale, for which language and content validity was performed, was calculated as 0.846. The KMO value of the scale was found to be 0.822 and Bartlett's test was found to be statistically significant (χ2: 745.421, p<0.05). In Confirmatory Factor Analysis, χ2/df 1.53; RMSEA 0.060; NFI 0.92; NNFI 0.96; CFI 0.97; IFI 0.97; It was determined that the SRMR was 0.071 and the fit indices had "excellent" and "acceptable" values. The correlation determined as a result of the test-retest of the scale was found to be 0.876. The Cronbach α value of the scale was found to be 0.823. As a result of the research, it was found that CMAS consists of two subscales and a total of 13 items. The subscales of the scale were named respectful/supportive care (6 items) and autonomy/communication (7 items). As a result, the Person-Centered Maternity Care Scale was found to be a valid and reliable measurement tool for mothers living in Turkey. Key Words: Birth; Woman; Scale; Person centered care; Care.
